The sheds are situated on the ridge between Decanter Bay and Menzies Bay. This view looks up to the ridge line which goes back into Pigeon Bay. Take the left fork to Little Akaloa and the right fork to Pigeon Bay via Starvation Gully.

When I shore here we came in to the hut and lite the fire to boil the billy

The hut is very well maintained and comes complete with some very old cutlery and crockery.

This image I took in memory of all the people who have walked and worked these hills over the years. Looks like he run out of wire or daylight or both so left the strainers to do the job.

Shearers, possum hunters, fencers, farm workers, family and friends have all left their mark in this old hut.

The name W L Goodwin is carved in the hut door. Brookshore was owned by the late Bruce and Alan Goodwin before him.

I am continuing my research into this group of buildings but possibly W L Goodwin may have been Alan's father.

If anyone has knowledge on that or when these buildings were built  and used I would greatly appreciate it.
